How much does it cost?
The cost of your painting is based on several factors including the size and how you want it printed. I offer a broad range of sizes on both fine art photo paper and canvas wraps. Prices start at $175 for an 8X10 unframed paper print. Prices include the time spent consulting with you regarding what reference images to use, painting the portrait and professional printing. Additional services such as matting and framing are available.

So How does this work?
First, I have you provide several images of the subject and we pick which one to use as a reference. Then, we determine the size and medium of the final portrait. I will then send you an invoice. Once the invoice is paid; I will paint your portrait. The lead time is usually about 5 business days. When completed, I will email you a digital proof to approve and then send it to the professional printer. I typically receive the finished product within one week. After I have inspected the painting to ensure that it meets my standards, I will send it off to you.

What images can I use?
It is helpful to receive a larger resolution file that provides detail of the subject’s eyes and fur/skin. Images that work best are a headshot with the subject looking towards the camera. If you are using a cell phone image it helps to download it directly from your phone and then email it to me to avoid compression used by most apps. If you live in the local Danbury, CT area I can provide a mini portrait session of your pet for an additional fee.

Can I have more than one pet in a portrait?
Yes, Multiple images can be combined to create on portrait. It helps if each image was taken in the same lighting by the same equipment in the same perspective.

What form of payment do you accept?
I accept check, cash or credit card through Paypal. Payment must be made in full before your portrait is painted.

Do you include digital files?
No I do not sell digital files. As an artist it is important for me to control the finished product of the painting to protect my brand. The goal of commissioning these portraits is to have an heirloom piece to display in your home.

Can you take the reference photo?
Yes, if you are located in the greater Danbury/Newtown, CT area I can arrange a mini session to capture professional images of your pet. There will be an additional charge for the mini-session.

Are these images custom?
Yes, each portrait is unique and hand rendered. I will personally create an exclusive painting of your pet that you will treasure. You will receive a certificate of authenticity with your printed portrait.
